As a Registered Community Based Organization, Mfangano Development Forum (MDF-CBO) does take the stewardship of its funds seriously.
Our money is spent on social economic programs and services that support our members’ life and work, through actions initiated and delivered via the thematic Sub-Committees, and approved by the Management Committee.
The MDF-CBO is organized as a registered community-based organization governed by a Management Committee and an advisory oversight by a Council of Elders. The operations of MDF-CBO are overseen by its Executive Management Team.
The headquarters of MDF are in Sena, Mfangano Island, Homa Bay County, Kenya. We have an associate entity which operates separately as MDF SACCO with its own Charter, Board, and Management teams.
We publish an annual report, audited financial statements, and our tax returns each year. Members have access to these in the secured member portal.
The MDF-CBO and The MDF SACCO are separate entities with distinct reporting requirements.
