Educational and Vocational Training (Convenor: Peter Agwaro)

To improve the educational standards of Mfangano Island by working closely with the relevant public and private sector players in monitoring and reviewing educational and vocational training matters related to Mfangano Island. This is a data driven activity that provides reports, recommendations, and advise for the good of key players and importantly the Mfangano Island fraternity.

To intervene, solicit, advise and ensure quality and good coverage of roads and electricity , efficient, safe, sustainable and low cost transportation systems.

Health and Sanitation (Convenor: Dennis Otieno)

To take the lead on issues pertaining to Health and Sanitation in Mfangano Island and achieve the goals of increased access to diagnostics and curative services; reduce the impact of communicable diseases to include improve awareness non communicable diseases; and support sustainable infrastructure development.

Planning, Finance and Entreprise Development (Convenor: Kennedy Agwaro)

To build a diverse socio economy that provides a wide range of quality opportunities to Mfangano residents through investments and economic activities utilizing the Islands' natural and cultural resources. Established as a cross sectional Committee within MDF due to its overarching role in projects and activities across the other thematic sub committees it is dilated to provide the Strategic Plan , its implementation, subsequent monitoring of its execution / achievement, shortfalls, and advise on adjustments.

To promote and facilitate the production and sustainable land use of resources for food security and nutrition, increased income, employment creation, and poverty reduction within the Mfangano community in partnership and collaboration with farmers, fisher folks and other key stakeholders.

To handle all Public Administration, Legal, and Security matters affecting the greater Mfangano Islands, to include the security of the land and lake from within and external players. The committee will spearhead activities with the NG SubCounty official, the County representative, and the other apparatus of the State.
