2025 Chairman’s Message
Hello, my heartfelt welcome and thank you for your wonderful, continued support.
As the year begins, I take this opportunity to celebrate with you the blessing of the New Year by reflecting on what we have achieved together and what we intend to do in the coming twelve months.
Years ago, we came together to form this community-based organization (CBO) in pursuit of one voice where we engage amongst ourselves and with others, public or private, on socio-economic development for the benefit of Mfangano.
In the past, we have been left behind in getting our fair share of the county or national government allocated subsidies or assistance. That neglect has to be stopped via proper realignment under one voice. We have seen outsiders recognizing the beauty and resources of the island, taking advantage of the opportunity without fully benefiting the community. This too has to stop with a view of better realignment in commercial arrangements with the community.
