CAREER GUIDANCE HOLIDAY CAMP

(A) PREAMBLE:

The MDF Education committee held a two days Career Guidance Holiday Camp from August 22nd to 23rd 2025 at Misori Primary School, with the aim of developing career awareness amongst Students, Parents and Teachers.

(B) PRESENTATIONS:

A majority of the invited facilitators honored the invites led by KUCCPS and TVET personnel.

Their presentations enlightened the participants who queried on different areas and eventually calling on them to come again.

(C) ATTENDANCE:

Teachers, Parents, Form Four leavers and Form 3 and 4 parents attended.

Day one witnessed the attendance of CEO, Director, Regional KUCCPS officers, MDF chairman and a number of facilitators.

Day two had improved attendance and was graced by the sub county DCC, COPD, CIPU, KNUT and KEPSHA representatives.

OUTCOME / GOING FORWARD:

Make it an ANNUAL EVENT: Based on the success of this event we look to have it as an ANNUAL EVENT within the MDF Calendar: Titled CAREER GUIDANCE
Expand the Target Group of Students: Due to the changes in the Ministry of Education model the emphasis will be to target the Form Two student as this is the time students get to select there career path.
